On the 4th Sept peers voted for the Healthy Homes amendment in the House of Lords, and the Levelling Up and Regeneration Bill will be returning to the House of Commons on the 16th and 17th October. The amendments set out a new regulatory framework for housing, by ensuring that all new homes support the health of their residents.

TCPA have launched a Home to die For site to encourage constituents to contact their MPs in support of the Healthy Homes clause (97) and schedule (7) in the Bill.

Please contact your MP using the email template at: https://www.hometodiefor.co.uk/ to ask them to support the Healthy Homes amendment when it returns to the House of Commons next week.

Please share this website with your friends and family too.

Thank you for your help to support the Healthy Homes amendment.

Harlow Civic Society supports the Town and Country Planning Association’s (TCPA) campaign for Healthy Homes. This campaign calls on government to adopt the TCPA Healthy Homes Bill, which would require all new homes and neighbourhoods to be of decent quality, and effectively outlaw those which undermine residents’ health and wellbeing.

To ensure better and more inclusive health outcomes, the TCPA has identified 11 Healthy Homes principles that all new homes must provide.

You can read more about the campaign on the TCPA website here.
